Getting in the Mood

Autumn rainstorms make for a cool and melancholy day. But, rain in town often means snow in the mountains. The ski season may still be weeks away, but seeing snowy peaks can get me in the mood. Ski movies and ski swaps also get me excited for the upcoming season. Read below for the time, date and places for Matchstick Production's newest ski film THE WAY I SEE IT and the Santa Fe Ski Team's Winter Gear Swap.

The Adaptive Ski Program has returned with THE WAY I SEE IT by Matchstick Productions. Get psyched for the upcoming ski season experiencing an incredible new ski movie with all your friends at the CinemaCafé. Come for the early screening at 6pm or drop by later for the 8:30pm show. Great ski and snowboard schwag will be raffled to ticket holders at each showing. All tickets will be sold at the door for $10 each and proceeds benefit the Adaptive Ski Program.

MSP Films takes you inside the action with THE WAY I SEE IT, featuring several unique perspectives on the progression that took place during the winter of 2010. The winner of Powder Magazine’s 2009 “Movie of the Year” brings you the best athletes on the planet sharing their points of view on what it means to be a skier and backing up their positions with hard-charging action. The MSP team traveled the globe in search of what makes this sport so special… the adventure, the passion, the camaraderie, and the fun. THE WAY I SEE IT showcases the greatest deep powder, steep lines, and massive park features from British Columbia, Japan, Alaska, Colorado, Switzerland, Idaho, Washington, and many other locations worldwide.
